Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend the FAAN Teen Summit by myself?

No. The Teen Summit is only open to teens who are accompanied by a parent (unless the teen is 18 or older). Parents must also be accompanied by a teen to attend.

How much does it cost to attend the Teen Summit?

There is no registration fee to attend the event. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals.

Will meals be provided?

FAAN will not be providing any meals. Parents or guardians are responsible for all of their teen’s meals (see hotel information for suggestions of grocery stores). Meal breaks for teens and parents will be at the same time during Saturday’s sessions.

How do I get a refrigerator and/or microwave in my hotel room?

When you register for the Teen Summit, make sure to sign up and pay for a refrigerator and/or microwave. FAAN is handling the reservations for refrigerators and microwaves as a part of your event registration, but the hotel will have them delivered before you check into your room.

How much do the refrigerator and/or microwave rentals cost?

The refrigerator and microwave fees are $10 each per day. For example, if you stay from Friday to Sunday and get both a refrigerator and a microwave, the total cost is $40.

Who needs to turn in a personal release?

A separate personal release form needs to be completed for everyone attending the event, including, parents, teens, and siblings. This allows FAAN to take pictures throughout the weekend.

When should the personal release be sent in? Do I have to send it in advance, or can I bring it with me to the event?

The personal release must be faxed to FAAN by October 31 at 5:00 p.m. The personal release must be received in advance of attending the event.

Who can attend the entertainment event on Friday night?

Everyone can attend the entertainment event on Friday night and join in the fun.
