Fundraising and How You Can Help!

FAAN is a nonprofit organization that is supported in part by donations. Many of you have reached out to us asking how you can help FAAN, so we compiled a list of fundraising opportunities so that you can share it with your family and decide how you might want to get involved.

Join our Virtual Walk

Didn’t have a Walk for Food Allergy in your area? You can participate in our Virtual Walk! Our Virtual Walk is a way for you to fundraise without having to attend a Walk. Sign up online at www.foodallergywalk.org and register for Alexander's Home Town USA Walk. Alexander is our fictional elephant character who is allergic to peanuts and has starred in three DVDs and 17 children’s books. You can help us reach our goal of $3 million by the end of the year!

Letter Writing Campaign

This is the perfect way to share your story with your family and friends. You can download a sample letter on our website and insert your personal story with your challenges of living with food allergies. Many people with food allergies have found comfort in sharing their stories and, through their letter-writing efforts, have provided family, friends, and others with the opportunity to support FAAN’s efforts to find a cure and raise awareness. Ask your parents if you can include your letter with their holiday cards this year!

Plan a Local Event

Local events organized by FAAN volunteers around the country make a huge impact on the funds and awareness raised for food allergies. Some teens have helped organize bake sales, sporting events, or jewelry or craft sales to help raise money to support those with food allergies.
