Food Allergies in the Real World

Meet Giulia

Age: 15
Allergic to: peanut, tree nuts, wheat, soy, shellfish, sesame seed
Favorite bands: Franz Ferdinand, OK GO, Fall Out Boy
Loves: drama

Her advice to others:
“My advice to other teens and young people with food allergies is to let the allergies become a part of you, part of your personality. Don’t deny them and don’t try to hide them. Tell everyone you know; become an activist for food allergies in your community. By doing this, not only are you helping protect yourself through education, but you are making true friends who will truly accept you – and your food allergies.”
